Siemens Delivers First locally manufactured 145 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear in India

Commenting on this significant achievement Mr. A.K. Globally Siemens is the pioneer in GIS technology and the GIS offered by Siemens is highly reliable with low operating costs and negligible maintenance over the product life cycle of more than 25 yrs. Since the product is   largely unaffected by environment conditions, the first major inspection is required only after 25 years of commissioning. The product is designed to be very compact, modular and has low space requirement and installation time. Since the levels of noise and field emission are extremely low, it is possible to integrate this switchgear even in a sensitive environment.
