Siemens implements state-of-the-art automation technologies for the prestigious ‘Atal Tunnel’
‘Atal Tunnel’ is one of the world’s longest and highest-altitude tunnels

‘Atal Tunnel’ is one of the world’s longest and highest-altitude tunnels
and will be inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri

Siemens, global technology leader, has partnered and implemented latest tunnel
automation and digital technologies for the prestigious project. The total length of the tunnel
located at ‘Rohtang Pass’ is 9.02 km and is at an elevation of 3,100 meters (10,000 feet),
which makes it the world’s longest at this altitude.
Siemens’ technologies provide electrification, automation and digitalization solutions for
local and remote monitoring, connectivity, lighting, ventilation, power distribution and fire
safety systems within one of the world’s longest and highest altitude tunnels.
