Siemens Industry Sector inaugurated a state-of-the art ‘Advanced Motor Test Center’ at Kalwa Works, off Mumbai. One of the most advanced test centers of its kind globally, the fully-automated test center houses eight test benches capable of testing motors in the wide range of 120 W to 3000 kW.
The Indian electrical equipment industry has witnessed a host of changes in recent years including adoption of new standards of efficiency for Industrial motors. This also has given rise to new testing methods for efficiency calculation as well. Mr. Wolfgang Weissler, Vice President, Drive Tech-nologies, Industry Sector, Siemens India, said, “At Siemens, we have been a constant partner to the Indian manufacturing Industry by offering the widest range of industrial motors that conform to the new efficiency standards.
