Siemens to build combined cycle power plants in state of Gujarat

Siemens Ltd. and Siemens AG Germany will execute the two projects based on the ‘state of the art’ technology. Siemens will erect the DGEN power plant, comprising three combined cycle units with a total installed capacity of 1200 MW in Dahej Special Economic Zone in Gujarat, India. The UNOSUGEN combined cycle plant, which will have an installed capacity of approximately 400 megawatts (MW), will be built in the vicinity of the city of Surat in the state of Gujarat. In addition to turnkey construction, Siemens Energy will also supply the main components for the two plants – gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and the entire electrical and instrumentation & control systems.
