Siemens S.A. supports «Smile of the Child» NGO and offers an innovative room temperature control system

"At Siemens, we aim to create technological solutions and products that provide substantial benefits to society and every opportunity to achieve this goal fills us with joy. We are very proud to contribute to the great work of the Smile of the Child through the donation of the control system and we are committed to find new ways of contributing to the Greek society for a better, sustainable future ", said Mr. Johann Goettler, President and CEO of Siemens Α.Ε.
The donation includes a complete system with 12 wall room controllers, a central control unit and a web server with KNX communication that allows the control of the operation of the room via cloud. This system’s technology and features, which are ideal for places that operate 24 hours a day, will allow children and employees to enjoy a healthier environment with excellent conditions. At the same time, the system will contribute to energy savings, while remote control will ensure the room controllers that the indoor climate is under control at all times.
"The RDG200KN room control system with KNX communication is a complete, reliable solution that ensures better conditions for the building, contributing to the creation of an ideal space. Thus, it will help the volunteers and employees of the Smile of the Child to easily regulate the temperature and reduce energy consumption" he noted. Mr. George Kottaras, Head of Building Products of Smart Infrastructure of Siemens Greece.
Mr. Konstantinos Giannopoulos, President, "Smile of the Child",  stated: "We thank Siemens, which responded positively and immediately to our request. Especially in the current unprecedented conditions, where everyone at the NGO is struggling to support children and families in need or at risk, it is important to have companies like Siemens, which value social solidarity and embrace it as part of their corporate identity ".
In the new, privately owned building, the NGO will host all the support services and business activities of the Organization which are provided free of charge for every child and family in need in Greece. Siemens SA, keeping its promise to support society as a whole through the products and solutions it offers, will continue to look for new ways to contribute to the important work of the Smile of the Child and other important organizations in the country.
