Siemens
Digital Industries presented industry-focused smart solutions for distribution,
remote control, and energy management, during the "Control Panel Truck on
Tour" event that took place in cities of Central and Northern Greece from
16 to 26 January.
The Control
Panel Truck visited Siemens’ Approved Partners in Patras, Corinth, Athens,
Larissa, Volos and Thessaloniki. Customized thematic trainings took place through
Siemens’ functional applications, which were available in the truck. The
Control Panel Truck provided a simulation experience on real production lines,
with experienced Siemens Greece executives sharing their expertise on the
latest developments in electrical installation technology for applications in
industry and other sectors.
New
solutions offered by Sentron portfolio in low voltage panels were presented,
from the new 3WA power switches and their capabilities in installation flexibility,
mechanical strength, and networking to the new micro-automatic switches with
wireless communication capability for energy monitoring and control of end
loads on each installation (Sentron Powercenter 1000). The presentation of the Sentron
portfolio concluded with an introduction to Sentron Digital and the ease with
which Siemens' technology can transform any electrical panel into a smart one.
Much emphasis was also placed on the innovative solutions of Sirius portfolio.
New ways of monitoring (Simocode) and controlling motors (Sirius Hybrid Motor
starters / Soft starters), smart and flexible ways of controlling the
industrial installation (Sirius Command), solutions specialized in the
protection of people in every installation (Safety) and much more.
More
than 180 customers visited the Siemens Control Panel Truck, attended the training
sessions, and learned about the technological developments that are pushing the
industry one step further.
Siemens
Control Panel Truck’s presence in Greece was combined with two workshops organised
at Siemens' facilities in Athens and Thessaloniki, for certified partners and
industry customers, who had the opportunity for a unique tour of the truck.
During the workshops, the latest developments were presented in panel design, electromobility,
home and building automations, and in energy control and monitoring through
advanced energy platforms.
"The
interactive applications of the Siemens Control Panel Truck enabled us to
present the latest developments in the field of industry and buildings to our
customers and partners. Siemens’ solutions which lead to more efficient energy
distribution and management, downtime reduction in production plants and
maintenance processes forecasting that drive companies towards energy savings
and sustainability." commented, George Hatzidakis, Portfolio Consulting
Team Leader, EP Digital Industries, Siemens S.A.
