Greece, responding to the honorary invitation of SEV regarding SEV new
initiative for the empowerment of Greek industries in cutting-edge
technologies, shared its expertise at the 2nd Industry 4.0 Roundtable entitled
"Energy-saving technologies", organized on Wednesday, December 14 at
SEV headquarters. Participants were business executives from all branches,
senior business executives, coming from the production management, factory
management, plant/production managers, etc... High experienced Siemens
executives with a long professional career talked about topics related to
energy management and energy saving technologies. Through three sections,
questions were answered regarding the operation and implementation of
inspection, analysis and energy saving systems, while an extensive discussion
followed regarding the steps that companies should follow to integrate them
into their operations and facilities.
The 2nd Industry 4.0 Roundtable started with a presentation by Dr. Vasileios Chatzikos,
CEO of Siemens Greece, referring to sustainable energy solutions and practices
in the era of Industry 4.0. On the occasion of the SEV Roundtable, he commented
"Our presence today in this new SEV initiative makes us particularly
happy, on the one hand, because SEV is a valuable partner that implements
excellent actions for businesses, and on the other hand, because we had the
opportunity to present the most innovative solutions leading to energy savings
for a significant number of participants. Efficient energy management is
directly linked to sustainability, which is a key element of our strategy and
is integrated into our business activities. In Siemens, we are committed in
such actions that will help industries transform and create a positive impact
on societies and markets."
Mr. Georgios Dimitriadis, Service Operations and Delivery Head, Digital
Industries, Siemens Greece, followed by focusing on the important and current
issue of energy waste, how the reduction of energy losses can be achieved while
also pointing out the energy efficiency measures that are better to apply. The
importance of utilizing digital solutions to improve the energy efficiency of
industries was highlighted by Mr. Argyris Tsigkalis, Technical Sales Support
Manager, Digital Industries, Siemens Greece, through tools and references to
real applications. At the same time, he underlined how the use of digital twins
and artificial intelligence can lead to significant energy savings.
