Wolfgang Hesoun to succeed Brigitte Ederer as CEO of Siemens Austria

Effective September 1, 2010, Wolfgang Hesoun (50) will become the new Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Austria (Siemens AG Österreich). This decision was made at today’s meeting of the Supervisory Board of Siemens Austria. Hesoun will succeed Brigitte Ederer (54), who as of July 1, 2010 will head Corporate Human Resources at Siemens AG. During the interim period, Reinhard Pinzer, CFO of Siemens Austria, will be responsible for the Siemens subsidiary’s business.
Since 2007, Wolfgang Hesoun has served as Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of Allgemeine Baugesellschaft – A. Porr AG, after having joined this company in 1988. From 1982 to 1987, Hesoun was responsible for construction site management and the commissioning of major power plants in Germany for the Siemens subsidiary Kraftwerk Union.
