Siemens to showcase latest IoT breakthroughs for accelerating digital transformation of industries
This year’s IOTSWC features 310 exhibits and 200
speakers. The event will showcase examples of the potential to transform
industry and business through the internet of things (IoT), artificial
intelligence, digital twins, blockchain, quantum computing and other
technologies.
Siemens will offer attendees the opportunity to gain
in-depth experience with the advances that digitalized processes offer. The
company will also showcase tangible examples of how combining different
technologies will lead to disruptive innovation. Focal points will include international
references, such as the biotechnology company BioNTech. Siemens has recently agreed
to expand its strategic cooperation and intensify its collaboration with BioNTech
to rapidly expand the company’s manufacturing of COVID-19 vaccines.
In addition, a detailed look at Aspern – an
emission-free, 240-hectare city district built around a lake near Vienna,
Austria – will enable Congress visitors to see how digitalization can help build
a smart city. Aspern was designed using an integrated approach for sustainable transportation
systems, efficient use of renewable energy, sustainable buildings, urban
agriculture, mixed residential and business uses, and social services.
Exhibits at the Siemens booth will also enable
attendees to analyze and test solutions for the automotive, construction, and food
& beverage industries as well as other verticals. There will also be an example
from the academic world: The University of Birmingham has used digital
technologies from Siemens to create the world’s “smartest” university campus.
Attendees at the IoT Solutions World Congress can
also hear from leading experts on the technological revolutions that are driving
IoT advances. One of these speakers will be Aymeric Sarrazin, CEO at Siemens
Advanta, who will hold a keynote session on how disruption paves the way for a
lean, green, digital industry. There will also be Siemens sessions on factory
digitalization, smart building analytics and the usage of IoT capabilities to listen
to machines.
