Building Technologies will show digital applications for chillers and air handling units (AHU) based on the new Climatix C600 controllers for OEMs. The digital chiller application will make its trade show debut at MCE 2018. The AHU offering is a tested complete system, including all necessary field devices, that can easily connect to the cloud. The configurable integrated inputs and outputs of the new controllers make this solution highly scalable and therefore suited for everything from residential use to very large applications, e.g. airports. Extensive connectivity with support for all relevant communication standards allows for seamless integration into building management systems and fast, cost-efficient integration of networked field devices.
With Climatix C600, Siemens OEM customers also get access to the cloud-based Climatix IC Remote Servicing System. The connection to Climatix IC thus brings digitalization into the building and adds value to the collected data. OEMs benefit from secure remote access for diagnostics, optimization and maintenance. Remote access also allows optimization of service visits, leading to significant cost reductions, shorter response times and thus enhanced customer satisfaction. In addition, Climatix IC offers a wide range of application expertise (e.g. AHUs, chillers, residential heating) and is easy to connect to other existing clouds.
Room applications to ensure a comfortable and healthy indoor climate will be another highlight at the Siemens booth at MCE. Solutions for variable air volume (VAV) and for heated and chilled ceilings with networked field devices featuring all relevant communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, KNX, BACnet) will be presented. This will include new products such as the Smart Thermostat and a fine dust sensor that ensures good air quality inside the building. The fine dust sensor will be presented to the public for the first time at MCE 2018.
Finally, Siemens will also showcase the new Desigo CC OEM edition, a fully customizable version of the industry-leading Desigo CC building management platform. It uses a modular software approach where the base product can be combined with optional features, building discipline libraries, system integrations and applications, as well as language packs. Solutions can be customized in terms of branding, connection of external software and integration of devices. In addition, the Desigo CC Application and Integration Center develops extensions and provides support for OEMs both in the planning phase and during operations. Using a digital interface, the Desigo CC building management platform consolidates a wide variety of building disciplines ranging from HVAC to security and fire safety to lighting and energy management in a single user interface. This allows all data streams as well as the consumption and status of all rooms to be managed, controlled and analyzed centrally.
