Siemens resolves to redesign its Munich headquarters
The new Siemens headquarters are to be oriented on the world’s highest standards for sustainable construction. A modern working environment will be created for employees. Energy-efficient building technologies from Siemens will be a key lever for achieving this ambitious goal. The company also wants to make a major contribution to sustainable urban development. With the world’s largest environmental portfolio, Siemens supports cities around the world in their efforts to better protect their local environments.
Energy-efficient building technology is part of Siemens’ Environmental Portfolio. In fiscal 2009, the Portfolio generated revenue of some €23 billion, making Siemens the world’s largest supplier of ecofriendly technologies. In the same period, Siemens products and solutions enabled customers to cut their CO2 emissions by 210 million tons.
