Siemens to modernize switchgear manufacturing plant in Berlin at a cost of EUR100 million
The plan envisages construction of two entirely new factory shops, complete replacement of existing production lines on the premises, and improved logistics for short-distance access and movements. In that way the production facility is to be made fit for the European market, which is where most of the output will be delivered after the upgrade. The components manufactured at the plant are used for power grids, for example to connect and disconnect power plants.
