Siemens to boost competitive position with new compliance organization
Josef Winter will be responsible for all compliance officers in Siemens’ Regional Companies and Sectors, advise the sales organizations and further improve the efficiency and practicability of the compliance system. For several years, Siemens has also been committed worldwide to collaborating with other companies and institutions in order to foster clean business practices – Winter will continue to drive these “collective action” initiatives.
Josef Winter had originally planned to join Siemens’ Industry Sector on July 1. However, after the departure of Andreas Pohlmann, the previous Chief Compliance Officer, he was the ideal candidate for the position – not least because of his many years of international sales experience. “We’re pleased to have acquired Josef Winter, a heavyweight of great integrity from our sales organization, for this position and to have enlisted an excellent lawyer like Klaus Moosmayer for the legal aspects,” said Solmssen.
Klaus Moosmayer will be responsible for company-wide Compliance guidelines, related legal questions, monitoring and internal investigations. Over the last few years, he has been closely involved in the expansion of the multi-award-winning compliance program. “With this setup, we’re making further, systematic progress along the path of integrity,” Solmssen stated.
