Oliver Santen new head of global Siemens Press Office
Effective July 1, 2011, Oliver Santen (42), currently head of the business press at BILD Zeitung, will take over as head of the Siemens AG global press office and assume responsibility for the company’s press activities. The graduate of the Axel Springer School of Journalism in Berlin has worked for BILD since 2005 and previously served in other positions, including press spokesman at Allianz SE.
Constantin Birnstiel (39) will move from management of the Siemens press office to Osram GmbH, where he will help prepare the planned initial public offering (IPO) of Osram and will head corporate communications and investor relations. Plans call for him to continue serving in this function following the founding and planned IPO of Osram AG.
