New Siemens KNX actuator enhances cost and energy efficiency for DALI lighting control
Increase in well-being thanks to perfect light conditions
Dynamic color temperatures create a pleasant room atmosphere and contribute to the well-being of people. Designed to promote this goal, the Human Centric Lighting (HCL) concept for interiors describes the use of the correct color temperature and illumination at the right time. Following this approach, the new actuator supports with the function “tunable white” an infinitely variable color temperature control. This allows variations from warm to cold white light and easy implementation of daylight simulations to imitate natural daylight color changes. With tunable white and up to seven adjustable dimming curves, the new actuator can control lamps to adapt them to any room situation. An adapted color temperature promotes better performance for room users and ensures perfect viewing and working conditions – particularly essential in educational as well as clinical establishments and offices.
The new Siemens KNX switch and dim actuator has a complete application program for Engineering Tool Software (ETS) and is used wherever complex DALI lighting control systems need to be operated in an energy-efficient manner with low installation costs. The integrated display offers an intuitive way to determine the current status of the DALI line and respond to error codes even faster than with other competing devices.
