Maria
Ferraro to become Siemens’ new
Chief Diversity Officer
Maria Ferraro
Maria Ferraro joined Siemens in 2004. Before being appointed CFO of
Siemens Digital Industries in April 2019, she held multiple leadership
positions in the area of finance at Siemens in Canada, Germany, the U.S. and the
UK. Ferraro was born in Canada and began her career at Price Waterhouse Coopers
and Nortel Networks in Ontario, Canada and in Paris, France.
“Janina
Kugel has been instrumental in driving the topics of diversity and inclusion at
Siemens in recent years and has enabled our company to make considerable
progress in this respect. Maria Ferraro has also been actively involved in the
area of diversity for a long time. As a result, she combines her solid business
perspective with a personal and authentic passion for inclusion. She’s the
ideal successor as Chief Diversity Officer,” said Roland Busch, Deputy CEO of Siemens AG.
“Diversity
and inclusion are not only nice to have; they are crucial for the success of
our businesses. Diverse teams are more successful overall because they
ultimately drive more creative and innovative solutions. I am proud of what we
have already achieved in recent years and am excited to continue to progress
this important business initiative”, said Maria Ferraro.
