Christian Oecking appointed Managing Director and Chairman of the Management Board of Siemens IT Solutions and Services GmbH (SIS)

Christian Oecking had been the acting head of SIS since December 2009 and played an important part in reorienting the IT service provider to increase competitiveness and profitability. The necessary reorganization of SIS has now been successfully completed. As previously announced, SIS commenced the new fiscal year as an independently operating company with a simplified and customer-oriented organizational structure. The two business units IT outsourcing and IT solutions are supported by a worldwide sales organization structured according to segment and Region.
Christian Oecking joined Siemens in 1998 as the head of the Outsourcing Department Germany of the former Siemens Business Services Group. Since 2001 he has been responsible for the global outsourcing business, first for Siemens Business Services and then for its successor, SIS. After studying mechanical engineering, he began his career in 1985 as a business consultant and software developer at Drigus GmbH and moved in 1993 to EDS Electronic Data Systems Deutschland GmbH.
