Digital Power Supply Systems for Cross
Island Line
For this project, Siemens Mobility will
design, supply, install, test and commission the power supply system for CRL
which include:
3 Intake stations [66kV Gas
Insulated Switchgear, short GIS, intake transformers]
22kV [Medium Voltage System, MVS]:
22kV GIS panels, service transformers
1500V DC system: [DC panels, double
converter TX, double converters]
Condition Monitoring System and Intelligent
Fault Isolation System [“iFIS”] are also provided for enhanced performance
management. The CRL power supply system is designed with proven modular
features that facilitate future upgrades, allowing seamless integration and
better interface connectivity between the power supply and signaling systems,
for more sustainable and cost-effective operations overall.
The CRL will be fully-automated and
driverless ready, enabled by the digital technologies provided by Siemens
Mobility’s signalling and power supply systems.
Longstanding Relationship with Singapore
This latest contract builds the already
well-established relationship Siemens Mobility has with Singapore, and on a
series of other projects Siemens Mobility has been awarded for Singapore’s MRT
network, which include:
CRL’s Overhead Catenary Rigid Power Supply System and signalling system in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
JRL’s signalling system and power supply system in 2020 and 2022,
Supply, installation and commissioning of Depot equipment for Tengah Depot in 2021,
Signalling and the test center for the Downtown Line, as well as
Electrification for two other mass transit projects: Circle Line Stage 6 and North-East Line extension.
