About the Kolping City Kerpen

The Kolping city of Kerpen with its approximately 68,000 inhabitants is the largest city in the Rhine-Erft district in North Rhine-Westphalia. The city is located in the Rhenish lignite mining area and in the Cologne Bay only a few kilometres west of Cologne and covers an area of approx. 14 km². Since 19 March 2012 Kerpen has the official addition of Kolpingstadt. The city administration of Kerpen employs about 1.000 people.
