The planned job reductions announced today by Siemens primarily affect foreign countries and not primarily Germany. In detail, the following businesses are affected: Siemens PSE Austria with around 650 jobs, Siemens VAI Metal Technologies Austria with around 250 jobs, Siemens SIS Great Britain with around 300 jobs, Siemens Building Technologies with around 300 jobs (120 of which are in Germany) as well as OSRAM with around 100 jobs in Molsheim, France. Because of business developments, the planned job reductions are unavoidable, according to the company. Siemens already announced these reductions over the course of the last weeks.
