Also of note, on Tuesday, May 7, from 12:15 – 1:45 p.m. (CT), Arja Talakar, CEO of Siemens Oil & Gas, will be the featured keynote speaker at an OTC luncheon. His presentation is entitled, Energy Transition: Fostering a Smarter Energy Transition – From Cleaner Hydrocarbons to Cost-Competitive Renewables. Arja will discuss the new "hydrocarbon conundrum" and the need to increase gas utilization while reducing the overall environmental impact of oil and gas activities and expanding the adoption of renewables.

Partnership defines a new approach to digital safety and security

Siemens will also announce a new partnership during OTC that will provide digital assessments that incorporate Siemens as a provider of cybersecurity vulnerability assessments across the entire cyber asset management lifecycle. Applicable in both the oil and gas and power generation sectors (excluding nuclear applications), these digital assessments will be vendor-agnostic, such that they will not be limited to customers using Siemens-manufactured products and technologies.
