Vision 2050 is a blueprint for improved living standards and quality affordable services for all in health, education, finance, housing, energy and infrastructure. The plan was launched in 2016 and is today the basis for a growing, rebounding economy.

Advanced technological solutions to meet specific needs in electrification, automation and digitalization
Through its various divisions, Siemens’ solutions cover the entire energy value chain (from generation, transmission and distribution to the efficient use of energy in industries and buildings). They also meet the needs of industries active in several sectors (cement and mining, chemicals and petrochemicals, agro-food and water supply). They strengthen and improve mobility, a major element for sustainable development. Finally, they make it possible to equip buildings so that they are more secure, comfortable and energy-efficient.

Siemens launched its MindSphere IIoT operating system about a year ago. Around one million devices and systems are now connected together via MindSphere, and this figure is to reach 1.25 million by the end of fiscal 2018. Users enjoy the benefits of a powerful development environment, analysis functions and expanded connectivity. Industrial applications and digital services can be developed and run on MindSphere. For example, immense amounts of system-generated data can be quickly and efficiently captured, evaluated and used – for instance, to improve system performance and availability. This technology also helps customers evaluate and employ their data to gain new types of insights. For example, downtimes can be predicted and prevented. Users can also develop completely new business models.At the event on June 28th in Kigali, Siemens showcased all of its technology solutions, as well as some of its references, to a local audience of end customers, prospects, students and experts.
